I blinked and we went from the end of May to the start of July!? What the heck, guys! Honestly, I have been so busy throughout June I haven’t really been consuming content (or doing absolutely anything other than working!). So I have to apologise for this month’s favourites being a little short. But here goes…
The power of introverts by Susan Cain – I loved this Ted Talk & have added Susan’s book “Quiet” to my reading list.
A Mindful Choice – Film – Greg Hopkinson and Sally Lewis, two Ishaya monks from New Zealand, were inspired to make this film to show that anyone can move towards a greater experience of life. A Mindful Choice explores the power of meditation and plants the seed of possibility that humanity could live in peace.
The Ultimate Advice For Every 20 Year Old by Gary Vaynerchuk – The reality check we all need.
New Takeover (Music Video) – Stan Walker – I have a mild obsession with Stan Walker (I can feel my friends rolling their eyes haha). His new music video came out on the 1st of this month and is a powerful representation of his Māori heritage. “It’s a song for all the underdogs, minority, the left out, the abused, the forgotten, indigenous people who don’t have a way or a platform to speak or express who they are and their truth.”
Menstrual Cups 101: Why I Ditched Tampons & Pads Forever – Haha am I allowed to plug my own article? I wrote this story for Miss FQ this month and would love for you to read it. It’s a little TMI, I know, but I really believe it will help someone.
Sober II (Melodrama) – Lorde – I have never been a huge Lorde fan but her new album Melodrama is painfully relatable. Picking my favourites was an impossible task. Just do yourself a favour and listen to the whole thing.
Perfect Places – Lorde – “All the nights spent off our faces, trying to find these perfect places, but what the f*ck are perfect places anyway?”
Writer In The Dark – Lorde – “Break the news, you’re walking out. To be a good man for someone else.”
@garyvee – Discovering Gary Vaynerchuk could be the best thing that happened this month. I love seeing his daily inspiration on my feed. His no-bullsh*t attitude is refreshing and I’ve never been more motivated to achieve my goals.
@mitch.gobel – simply because his art is beautiful, as is his approach to life (thank you, Courtney, for introducing me!).
@fawnstar jewellery – obsessed.
@somedayslovin lingerie – even more obsessed.
Please let me know the things you’ve been loving this month too! Leave me a comment below – I’d love to check them out 😊 Also, keep your eyes peeled as there’s a lil something new coming to my blog this Friday (and every Friday from now on!)…
Hope you all have an amazing week, angels!
