June Faves: Mindfulness Movie, Gary Vee and Menstrual Cups

I blinked and we went from the end of May to the start of July!? What the heck, guys! Honestly, I have been so busy throughout June I haven't really been consuming content (or doing absolutely anything other than working!). So I have to apologise for this month's favourites being a little short. But here goes...

To Watch:

The power of introverts by Susan Cain - I loved this Ted Talk & have added Susan's book "Quiet" to my reading list.

A Mindful Choice - Film - Greg Hopkinson and Sally Lewis, two Ishaya monks from New Zealand, were inspired to make this film to show that anyone can move towards a greater experience of life. A Mindful Choice explores the power of meditation and plants the seed of possibility that humanity could live in peace.

The Ultimate Advice For Every 20 Year Old by Gary Vaynerchuk - The reality check we all need.

Maggie Rogers performing "On + Off" live

New Takeover (Music Video) - Stan Walker - I have a mild obsession with Stan Walker (I can feel my friends rolling their eyes haha). His new music video came out on the 1st of this month and is a powerful representation of his Māori heritage. "It's a song for all the underdogs, minority, the left out, the abused, the forgotten, indigenous people who don't have a way or a platform to speak or express who they are and their truth."

To Read:

Menstrual Cups 101: Why I Ditched Tampons & Pads Forever - Haha am I allowed to plug my own article? I wrote this story for Miss FQ this month and would love for you to read it. It's a little TMI, I know, but I really believe it will help someone.

Thoughts on Writing by Elizabeth Gilbert

Selfish - a poem by Rupi Kaur

A closeness - Dermot Kennedy

Mr. Sandman - Syml

Where's My Love (Acoustic) - Syml

Falling Autumn - alayna, Astronomyy

Alaska (Toby Green Remix) - Maggie Rogers - my fave song from my May faves, reinvented.

Melatonin (Unplugged) - Phoria

Perfect Places - Lorde - "All the nights spent off our faces, trying to find these perfect places, but what the f*ck are perfect places anyway?"

la song - Lewis Watson

(No One Knows Me) Like the Piano - Sampha

Sober - Lorde

Focus - Fortunes.

Hurt for Me - Syml

If I Believe You - The 1975

To Follow:

@garyvee - Discovering Gary Vaynerchuk could be the best thing that happened this month. I love seeing his daily inspiration on my feed. His no-bullsh*t attitude is refreshing and I've never been more motivated to achieve my goals.

@mitch.gobel - simply because his art is beautiful, as is his approach to life (thank you, Courtney, for introducing me!).

To Wear:

@fawnstar jewellery - obsessed.

@somedayslovin lingerie - even more obsessed.

Hope you all have an amazing week, angels!
